My wife and I stayed in the Lincoln hotel 29th December to 2nd January. It's in a really good location. Right next door to the Cathedral (please see pictures from the balcony of the hotel). There are also Roman excavations outside the hotel and you can see the remains of Roman Lincoln. You are in centre of Lincoln near the Castle as well about 3-4 min walk away. The steep hill with it's historic buildings. We had a meal in the Hotel. The menu was small but this is because the food is freshly cooked and is of very good quality. They did a nice touch for my wife and in white chocolate wrote Happy Birthday for her. The pictures are because we are messy, but the hotel was tidy. The shower gel given only seems to be able to serve one person despite two people using. The shampoo is similar. The other gripe was it took time the toilet to flush well. The shower was fantastic and worked really well. The sockets were not next to the beds so you can't look at your phone while it's charging. The rooms were clean and well laid out, very comfortable. The staff were friendly, and even after checkout were fine to hold our bags while visiting the sites. Overall my wife and I loved our stay.
Location marvellous . The hotel team we're all friendly and helpful. Rooms hot !! Beds comfy. Decor in keeping with cathedral city although a little tired in places. Overall cracking stay 👌
I was there for a conference and very impressed with this hotel. They were really helpful when we required extra tables and lighting.
I'm vegetarian and was impressed by the variety on offer - not the usual cheese and nothing else.
The rooms were comfortable and very clean.
I hope to visit Lincoln again and will come here if they have availability.
Great view too of the cathedral from my room.
I booked the afternoon tea in advance and they replied to all the emails quickly, loved that.
The food was nice, yet couldn’t give more stars since I’ve tried some other places better. However, it’s worth the price and I was happy with my experience.
Beautiful view of the cathedral and a great location for walking into the city. The exterior of the hotel is a bit strange as it looks like a tired office building when you approach but the interior was much more appealing. The rooms were nicely designed but would be improved with a bit more attention to detail. For example, the bathroom was nice with a great bath but the shower screen seal was covered in mould and needed replacing. Sounds small but if you are enjoying a bath and that's in your line of vision, it is off putting. Similarly the balcony was great for looking at the view but was very unkempt and wasn't a nice space to stand at. Breakfast was good value for money, especially with the addition of the coffee machine. Again furnishings were a bit tired but the bar and lounge area was a plus. Staff were very friendly. Overall good stay.
The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the bedrooms and public area are absolutely filthy. My room hadn't been hoovered, the carpets were grubby and it just had a generally unclean feel about the whole place. The breakfast was adequate, but again it just didn't feel like anything was very sanitary. Such a shame as it is in a fantastic setting and the staff are very helpful but I won't be returning, sorry.
Absolutely loved it here. My accessible room was large and well equipped.
The menu is exquisite and food is delicious.
All the staff I spoke to were very helpful and friendly.
The view of the cathedral is beautiful.
I was there for a wedding in their function room and everything was perfect.
My friends and I have had a lovely stay at The Lincoln Hotel. Perfect location. Quiet, clean hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food both morning and evening was excellent. Look forward to returning
